Tips

Must have 5 Riftbeast by 3-1. Roll for it if need be (sometimes correct to roll for it in Stage 2). Ideally want to minimize rolls before level 7. This is why having at least 3 copies of Cinderling or Pebbles early is important so you can reasonably hit 3-star without rolling much before 7. Once you reach Level 7 on 3-5 for tempo or 4-1 when you need gold but have HP, start rolling for 7 Riftbeast + 3-star Krug, Scuttle, Cinderling, and Pebbles. Sometimes you can play around Murkwolf or Gromp if you have many items. Thief's Gloves can be good for unitemized 3-stars. Once you hit 3-star Krug, focus on pushing levels so you can ideally play around Elder Dragon late game. The comp can be played as fast 9 in rare circumstances where you streak with nearly a natural Cinderling or Pebbles 3, but this is quite rare so the reroll variant is far more popular. Most of the time Alpha Mark your carry (Cinderling or Pebbles) unless you need the frontline in which case you can mark Scuttle (if Krug usually dies later) or Krug (if he is dying quick enough). Tank Alpha Mark becomes better later in the game. Item Priority matrix was changed in 18.4 to reflect the fact that Pebbles has become the better 1-cost to play around than Cinderling. Obviously the priority shifts depending on which of these 1-costs you are prioritizing items on. Right now AP items for Pebbles are better. If you are playing around itemized Pebbles, the late-game board can shift slightly. Cinderling + Scuttle can be dropped for Elder. Gromp + Kog'Maw is sometimes played late-game. There are more options now if you can put your AD items on Elder Dragon.

Economy plan · 3-Cost Reroll

  1. 2-1Level to 4 if strong.
  2. 2-5Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. 3-2Level to 6, unless it places you below 30g.
  4. 3-5Stay level 6, unless you can stay above 50g on 7 or you are below 40 HP and can stay above 30g on 7.
Show full plan
  1. 4-1Level to 7, roll until board mostly upgraded. Never go below 10g even if missing tank or carry.
  2. 4-2Build up to 50g, slow roll to 50g until 5-1.
  3. 4-5If below ~25 HP, sometimes you must roll until you hit here. Not ideal.
  4. 5-1Roll until you hit 3-star carry and tank. Can go to 0g. Only greed gold if you are above ~60 HP.
  5. 5-2If you hit, you can level to 8. Otherwise stay 7. Holds true for every round for the rest of the game.
